Very useful & easy to use, November 20, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 3M Poly Gun LT Glue Applicators w/ 150 watts (GL3MLTQ) Category: Glues and Adhesives (Office Product) With only a couple of caveats, we are really happy to have purchased this glue gun. We have been using cheap glue guns for years and this one has made a world of difference. We are using ours to glue the lids of cardboard shipping boxes, and to temporarily attach wood pieces to each other during cabinet construction. The gun heats quickly, and doesn't overheat if we let it sit unused for a while(unlike cheap hobby glue guns). The rate that hot glue feeds onto a surface is reasonably fast. The glue stick advancing lever on the backside of the handle takes a little getting used to, and probably could be better. But, it is okay. It should be noted that this gun is intended for commercial and production work, and requires 5/8-inch diameter glue sticks manufactured by 3M. The typical 1/2-inch diameter sticks from hardware stores will not work in it. Apparently, 3M sells their 5/8 inch sticks only in large quantity.
