Apparently "Fast Drying" Is A Relative Term..., July 7, 2012 This review is from: Duncan Aleene's "Tacky" Glue Pen .63 Ounce 21710; 6 Items/Order I was working on a project (making a lampshade) that required a good fast drying glue that would work on fabric. I bought this item from Hobby Lobby because it claimed to be fast drying, to dry clear, and to work on fabric. I got it home and eagerly got to work on my project, which requires gluing fabric down to fabric wrapped wire, and the faster the glue holds, the better. After using it extensively, I can say that NONE of the claims are true!
It didn't dry perfectly clear (as it seems to have stained my white fabric a bit). That's the least of my concerns now, though. Apparently, my idea of fast drying and the manufacturer's idea of what that means must be two different things. I was expecting the glue to bond and hold after about 30 seconds (much like superglue) but it ending up taking about an hour before it would hold. Love Tacky Glue, August 16, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Duncan Aleene's "Tacky" Glue Pen .63 Ounce 21710; 6 Items/Order I'm familiar with product. It's fast drying. Dries clear. It also doesn't bubble up when used on paper like some glues do. Great for people who are into journaling or scrapbooking. It's also good for repairing paperback books. The product by itself gets a 5/5 star rating. What I was more interested in was the dispenser.
I love the feel of the pen and how evenly the glue is distributed. My only complaint is a small one and it has to do with the top. You can't just pop it back on. You have to line up the seam of the top just right to seal it properly. Once the cap is lined up, it's secure and fits tight. You just have to pay attention and not just pop it on.
